Ambassador Ito contributed her article to Ethiopian Herald on the occasion of Meskel Day

On the occasion of Meskel Day and at the beginning of the Ethiopian New Year, Ambassador Ito contributed her article to Ethiopian Herald to pray for peace and prosperity for everyone in Ethiopia.
In her article, Ambassador Ito touched upon various issues including the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021, the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), the Conferment Ceremony of Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendations for 2020, and “Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)”. In addition, she explained Japan’s Official Development Assistance to Ethiopia and how Ethiopia can attract foreign direct investments from the overseas. She also strongly urged the cessation of hostilities in all parts of Ethiopia and peaceful settlement of conflicts.
